Medical Technology in the German Industry Association SPECTARIS
The German industry association SPECTARIS represents approximately 130 Germany-based companies in the medical technology industry, which is characterized by small and medium-sized enterprises. These companies primarily develop, manufacture, and market medical technology products in the capital goods sector, medical devices, and, increasingly, digital health solutions. In the field of home respiratory therapy, in addition to manufacturers, service providers—known as homecare providers—are also members.
The Medical Technology Trade Association offers its members targeted services and a platform for networking, and represents its members’ interests to policymakers and the public to further improve the conditions for innovation and growth. In particular, navigating the complex regulatory requirements in the healthcare sector is a focus of numerous working groups within the association.
