The focus is on analytical laboratories, research and development (R&D) laboratories, and GxP-regulated areas such as technical development, small-batch manufacturing, and quality assurance in production. In addition, Synefex offers its services to industries such as food tech, biotechnology, environmental biology and ecology, pharmaceuticals, and chemical engineering.

Product Solutions and Innovation

The flagship product is SynGateway, a vendor-neutral IoT solution that provides connectivity and data transmission capabilities for laboratory and production equipment. This solution enables the simultaneous connection and monitoring of multiple laboratory devices. SynGateway is based on a low-code IoT platform that is specifically tailored to customers’ individual needs. Thanks to its ease of use, users can integrate devices without complex programming knowledge, which speeds up the integration process and minimizes errors. SynGateway ensures seamless data transmission and can be used as a standalone solution or in combination with other automation products from Synefex or third-party manufacturers. The system also offers real-time device monitoring and audit trail functions, providing a clear overview of device performance and the traceability of laboratory processes.

In addition, Synefex is an active participant in the further development of standards such as AnIML, LADS (Spectaris), and OPC-UA.

With SynHub, a code-free data integration platform, Synefex enables the efficient orchestration, management, and conversion of data from various sources. SynHub implements the FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and supports formats such as AnIML, mzML, and ADF (Allotrope) to ensure that data is easy to find and access. SynHub serves as a central data integration platform and seamlessly connects end devices to higher-level data management systems such as LIMS and ELN. It is already being successfully used in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in drug discovery and preclinical phases.
