Company Profile:
For approximately 140 years, Shimadzu has been a pioneer in the development of high-tech products in the fields of instrumental analysis, process control, materials testing, medical imaging, and aerospace and industrial technology. Production takes place in Japan and at various manufacturing facilities in Asia, the Americas, and Europe. Our company, which has grown organically since 1875, possesses historically developed expertise and, through its global network, provides on-site support to each individual customer. Branches in 76 countries and approximately 10,000 employees ensure close customer relationships. Shimadzu Deutschland GmbH in Duisburg also serves as the European headquarters. Here, 170 employees work in administration, marketing, and sales. In Germany, our technical offices and service centers in regional catchment areas ensure quick and direct access to customers. 

Products / Product Lines
Our product portfolio includes numerous systems for chromatography (HPLC, LCMS, GC, GCMS), spectroscopy (UV/VIS, FTIR, AAS), and total organic carbon (TOC) analysis. The Shimadzu Biotech business unit focuses on the growth markets of life sciences and high-throughput screening and supports preparative and analytical LCMS as well as MALDI-TOF instruments.
