S1 Optics GmbH is a coating service provider—it develops and manufactures functional optical coatings on glass, metal, and plastic substrates.

As a specialist, S1 Optics GmbH offers the complete process chain —from optical component design and production-ready engineering to manufacturing, machining, and coating—for the substrate materials listed.

Optical functional coatings can be used to precisely adjust the reflection and transmission characteristics of optical components, thereby achieving the desired functionality of a product.

The portfolio includes both dielectric (non-absorbing interference coating systems) and metallic coatings.

Services Coating is the core competency of S1 Optics GmbH. In addition, the process chain includes preliminary consulting, the development and design of the coating system, sample coating for product qualification, and all technical processes necessary for coating in mass production.

Technology
S1 Optics applies coatings using PVD processes (electron beam evaporation, resistance evaporation, and plasma-assisted IAD processes).

The company uses state-of-the-art coating systems equipped with advanced technology, including vacuum systems, evaporators, plasma sources, system controls, optical monitors, and much more.
