Company Profile:
Polytec, headquartered in Waldbronn, was founded in 1967 as a distributor of lasers and electro-optical components. Today, Polytec employs over 250 people. The company’s main source of revenue is electro-optical measurement systems, which are developed and manufactured in-house. Its business activities are divided into three product areas.

Optical Measurement Systems Division
Noncontact measurement and visualization using light—that is the specialty of the Optical Measurement Systems Division. Here, Polytec develops and manufactures high-quality measurement instruments for analyzing vibrations, lengths, velocities, and surface topographies. Applications range from microsystems technology to large-scale mechanical engineering, from the automotive sector and aerospace to medical technology, the life sciences, and more.

Photonics Business Unit
In this business unit, Polytec partners with leading international manufacturers to provide sales, applications, and service for photonic products and optical solutions. Key areas of focus include industrial image processing, optical telecommunications, fiber-optic sensing, spectroscopy, radiation measurement technology, as well as laser and electro-optical test systems.

Analytics Division
Here, Polytec offers analytical measurement methods for laboratory and process applications in industry and research. Spectrometer systems developed and manufactured by Polytec demonstrate a high degree of flexibility thanks to their modular design and are used for process monitoring and control in incoming goods inspection, manufacturing, and final product inspection.
