OBE GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Germany, is one of the few international manufacturers of eyewear components. Our mission is to provide optimal hinge movement and comfort for all types of eyewear.

The company was founded in 1904 and today operates two production facilities in Germany and China. In total, the OBE Group has 500 employees, including our subsidiaries and representative offices in the world’s major eyewear production markets. We have been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 since 1996. In the same year, we also implemented an environmental management system and received certification to DIN EN ISO 14001 and EMAS. OBE aims to be climate-neutral by 2040.

We produce approximately 500 million components annually, and every day we process about 2 million parts in our manufacturing facilities. Our core technologies include profile machining, CNC machining, overmolding of screws and hinges, surface treatment, automated laser welding of hinges, and the assembly of mechanisms. We offer solutions for all types of eyewear and are expanding our expertise to include applications for smart glasses.

Our fully automated warehouse system, combined with a monthly production schedule and an established supply chain management system, ensures our reliable delivery capabilities. In addition to Germany, we also have warehouses in China, Hong Kong, Italy, and Japan.
