Company Profile:
Founded in 1946 as a traditional optical wholesaler, Koberg + Tente now sees itself as a modern service provider that oversees the entire process—from design to distribution—of high-quality eyeglass frames that offer excellent value for the price. It is no coincidence that the premium KOBERG collection is manufactured exclusively in Germany.

From our location in Münster, Westphalia, we serve specialty optical stores primarily in Germany, the Benelux countries, France, Austria, and Switzerland.

Our target audience is specifically specialty optical stores. Because we ourselves are an owner-managed, medium-sized company, we speak the same language as our customers and communicate with them as equals.

Successful collections such as whynot, eye:max, and KOBERG represent our wide selection across a variety of price ranges. We prefer to invest in quality rather than in licensing fees.

New technical innovations, such as the screwless hinge in the Koberg collection, the safety lock on the eye:max temple replacement system, and the use of TORX-system screws, are important steps for us on the path to creating the perfect eyeglass frame.
