Instrument Systems GmbH was founded in Munich in 1986 and has been developing, manufacturing, and marketing complete solutions for photometry ever since. The primary applications of these systems—which are based on spectrometers or imaging photometers and colorimeters—lie in the field of LED and display metrology. In this field, Instrument Systems is now the world’s leading manufacturer. The measuring instruments deliver precise, reproducible results for the characteristic optical parameters of wafers, dies, individual LEDs, and LED modules (luminous intensity, luminous flux, beam pattern) as well as displays (luminance, color, and contrast). Instrument Systems consistently ensures that its calibrations are traceable to national and international standards. Instrument Systems serves its international customer base with the support of a global network of representatives.

In addition to array-based spectrometers and cameras that measure luminance and color values in two dimensions, Instrument Systems also offers a wide range of accessories for all applications in photometry. The portfolio includes integrating spheres, goniometers, LED measurement adapters, light sources, and in-house software developments that optimally complement the devices.
