ELEMENTAR Analysesysteme is the world’s leading German manufacturer of elemental analyzers and other instruments for the analysis of non-metallic elements such as carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, sulfur, and chlorine in all organic and most inorganic substances. Originating from the analytical technology division of the Heraeus technology group, we have been developing and manufacturing instruments for CHNOS elemental analysis, TOC analysis, and N/protein analysis according to the Dumas method for over 110 years in the Rhine-Main region near Frankfurt am Main.

CHNOS Elemental Analysis and Stable Isotope Analysis at the Highest Level
In addition to traditional applications in organic chemistry laboratories, elemental analysis is becoming increasingly important for quality control in industrial manufacturing, for environmental quality measurements, and for determining the composition of agricultural products and foodstuffs. For these applications, ELEMENTAR offers a unique range of elemental analyzers and isotope ratio mass spectrometers (IRMS). In addition to universal analyzers for CHNOS analysis, we also develop and manufacture instruments at our facility in Langenselbold for nitrogen/protein determination using the Dumas method, for environmental and water analysis (TOC/TNb analysis in ultrapure water, wastewater, sludge, and solids), and for metal and materials analysis.

Our product portfolio is rounded out by our line of instruments for measuring stable isotopes of the elements CHNOS, manufactured by our subsidiary Elementar UK Ltd. (formerly Isoprime Ltd.), based in Manchester. Many years of experience and continuous innovation go into the development of our analyzers for elemental and stable isotope analysis, forming the basis for Elementar’s high-performance and reliable analytical technology.
