CorTec ist ein deutsches Neurotechnologie-Unternehmen im klinischen Stadium. Das 2010 gegründete Unternehmen hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, Menschen mit neurologischen Erkrankungen ihre Selbstständigkeit zurückzugeben. Wir entwickeln implantierbare Systeme, die direkt mit dem Nervensystem kommunizieren.

Unsere „Brain Interchange“-Plattform – eine vollständig implantierbare, bidirektionale Gehirn-Computer-Schnittstelle (BCI) – befindet sich derzeit in der klinischen Erprobung mit Patienten. Damit eröffnen wir völlig neue Behandlungsmöglichkeiten und sammeln gleichzeitig Daten, die mithilfe von KI den Weg für zukünftige Therapien ebnen.

Darüber hinaus stellen wir unsere Implantattechnologie anderen Akteuren im globalen Neurotechnologiebereich zur Verfügung, damit wir gemeinsam mehr Menschen erreichen können, als es jeder von uns allein könnte.

CorTec is a German clinical-stage neurotechnology company, founded in 2010, with one purpose, to restore independence to people with neurological conditions. We build implantable systems that communicate directly with the nervous system.

Our Brain Interchange platform — a fully implantable, bidirectional brain-computer interface (BCI) — is now in clinical evaluation with patients, opening entirely new treatment modalities while gathering the data that, with AI, unlocks future therapies.

We also provide implant technology to others in the global neurotechnology field, so together we can reach more people than any of us could alone.

Produkte und Dienstleistungen

CorTec ist Ihr Entwicklungspartner für implantierbare Neurotechnologie. Wir vereinen Materialien, Elektroden, Elektronik, Software, Verpackung und Integration unter einem Dach und begleiten Sie von der Machbarkeitsprüfung über das Design bis hin zu den ersten Implantaten für klinische Studien.

Sie können uns für eine bestimmte Entwicklungsphase oder für den gesamten Prozess vom ersten Konzept bis zum „First-in-Human“-fähigen Gerät beauftragen. Zu unseren Produktbausteinen gehören Cuff-Elektroden, Paddle-Elektroden, Grid-Elektroden, perkutane Elektroden, hermetische Gehäuse und integrierte Implantatplattformen. Wir entwickeln, verifizieren und fertigen in unseren Reinräumen in Freiburg, Deutschland, und produzieren erste Implantate sowie klinische Muster in Kleinserien im eigenen Haus.

Products and Services

CorTec is your development partner for implantable neurotechnology. We bring together materials, electrodes, electronics, software, packaging, and integration under one roof and support you from the feasibility study through the design phase all the way to the first implants for clinical trials.

You can engage us for a specific development phase or for the entire process, from the initial concept to a “first-in-human” ready device. Our product modules include cuff electrodes, paddle electrodes, grid electrodes, percutaneous electrodes, hermetic housings, and integrated implant platforms. We develop, verify, and manufacture in our cleanrooms in Freiburg, Germany, and produce initial implants as well as clinical samples in small batches in-house.
