Founded in Japan by Kiyohiko Aoyama, the company develops, manufactures, and distributes approximately 5 million eyeglass frames annually for the international market. With innovative and bold designs, AOYAMA’s development teams introduce around 1,000 new products every year. They carefully and analytically take into account the specific requirements of each country. For AOYAMA’s product designers, the preferences of customers from different nationalities serve as a guiding principle for product development. As a result, the colors, sizes, and fit of the eyewear models are precisely tailored to meet specific needs. Since 2001, the German branch has been supplying opticians in Germany and Austria directly, thereby ensuring high product availability and fast order processing. The relocation of the branch from Leonberg to Potsdam marked another milestone in the company’s development. Since early 2011, the sales and service teams have been based in the creative environment of the Babelsberg Film Studios, from where they serve AOYAMA customers with high standards for service quality and responsiveness.
